LITERACY & nUMERACY WEEK
Wow! What a wonderful week! From the Spelling Bee to the Character Parade to our shared reading of Bob Graham’s “Home in The Rain” to the Book Swap to the Family Maths night to the Parent workshops to Coding Activities to readings from different teachers to AFL dress ups and special lunches and Fairytale Movie afternoon...it was go, go, go and a whole lot of fun!
Thank you to all students, parents and staff for actively participating in all of our celebrations in Literacy and Numeracy week. Weeks like this are what make our little school so very special.
On Monday the 11th of September, some of our grade 5/6 students represented our school at a basketball tournament held at the Rings basketball stadium in Ringwood.
Thank you to Anthony Chan and Scott Taylor for coaching teams on the day and to Lana Gill and Rhyannon Elliott who assisted with scoring. A big thank you to all the parents and family members who came to support and cheer on our students!
This term as part of Physical Education students have been learning gymnastics. All students from prep to grade six have had three weeks of coaching with Duncan from Eastern Gymnastics in Box Hill.
Students learned many new skills such as scorpion kicks, bear walking, crab walking, motorbike stance and many more!
