Students learn Italian from Prep to Year 4. We know that the earlier a child begins learning another language other than their first language, the student’s literacy and capacity to communicate is enhanced.

Our Italian program enables students to explore and understand the language, life and culture of Italy. The students are challenged with a range of exciting topics that encourages them to explore the culture and life of the Italian people and their influence on Australian life.

Students are given ongoing opportunities to use the language at school and are encouraged to use it beyond the classroom. Community celebrations such as Italian Day and the Parish Fete enable students to experience Italian traditions, food and rituals.
