The Long Walk
The Long Walk is a charity inspired by Michael Long's walk to Canberra, to get the lives of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people back on the national agenda.
St Johns is very proud to participate in The Long Walk every year to show solidarity and support for our Indigenous communities, encouraging understanding and empathy, working towards genuine change and reconciliation.
This year, our social justice leaders participated in the Aquinas Long Walk, joining many Catholic primary and secondary students from all over the region. Our school also hosted our own Long Walk through our local area of Mitcham. It was a wonderful and exciting morning and our local community always shows lots of support for the event.
