Prep Visit the Library
On Tuesday 10 June, the Prep students walked to Nunawading Library to take part in a Story Time session. During their visit, they explored the library as an important place in the community and learned how its different spaces and resources can be used. The students engaged with multicultural literature and listened to a Dreamtime story, which helped them deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. They also discovered the wide range of books and services available to them. We love connecting with community places in Mitcham that students can access outside of school, and following the excursion, most students signed up and received their very own library card.
