Grade 5/6 STEM Incursion
To launch our Term 3 STEM unit on electricity and circuits, our Grade 5 and 6 students took part in an exciting hands-on incursion run by Mad About Science. The workshop provided an engaging introduction to key concepts such as static electricity, electromagnets, and the difference between series and parallel circuits. Students built their own circuits to power propellers, alarms, and light bulbs, and tested a range of materials for their conductivity. The activities sparked curiosity and enthusiasm, making it a fantastic way to kickstart our learning. We’re looking forward to building on this knowledge throughout the term in our classroom investigations.
