Year 6 Camp to Phillip Island 2026
Building Connections and Courage: Year 6 Heads to Phillip Island
Our Year 6 students recently returned from an unforgettable annual camp at CYC The Island. More than just a trip away, the experience offered a vital opportunity for students to strengthen friendships and connect with their teachers in a relaxed setting.
From the thrills of the giant swing and rock climbing to the balance required for stand-up paddleboarding, students pushed their personal boundaries within a safe and supportive environment. The two-night stay also fostered a sense of independence, as students managed their own belongings and schedules to ensure they didn't miss a moment of the action.
Highlights included:
-
Watching the iconic Little Penguins make their way to shore at dusk.
-
Collaborating with peers during high-energy team-building activities.
-
Enjoying valuable downtime with students from our brother school, St James.
Everyone returned home a little exhausted, but with big smiles and even bigger memories!
